Marital dispute

Hi Folks;

I always put my car in 2nd (On Flat Ground); 1st if on a Hill & turn the wheels into a Curb:

Never, Ever have I used the Parking Brake in any of My Vehicles to include My every day drivers:

I believe the Parking Brake was designed for use If your Normal Brakes Fail!

Regards;

Russ

Parking brakes are for when your normal brakes fail. That's why they should be cycled.

Leaving your car in gear is fine, if nobody bumps into it. I lost my sprite second gear that way, and got a nice dent next to my rear turn light.

It's only the parking brake for me now, every time.

14 years ago when I had my 73' GT6 I parked it at moms house with just the emergency brake, when I came back outside to find my car rolled backward into the river.

The tow guy thought it was hilarious!

I'm an e-braker with a low-gearer; simple enough
on flat land.

Please don't ask about hill parking, particulrly,
because this thread will go on for ever.
