What are your opinions on Manuals. Haynes? Which is the "official" workshop manual?

I guess, I should get one that covers upto 1275 engines.
 
I have a bentley for my MGB and it's great! I'll poke around on ebay for one.

I've got the factory reprint (Bently) and the Haynes. They are both valuable, since they provide 2 slightly different looks at each repair. I'm a believer in a large library -- never too much information.
 
Think that is more of an owners guide.

I bought of ebay this week an orginal Bugeye shop manual, 12 bucks plus shipping. I have the others but just wanted this one.

You can also get the shop manual plus on CD from the usual sources. Yep have one of those as well, they did a nice job.

I have a CD Manual for my Land Rover, it's a pain to use. I would much rather have a book. Plus you can't read a CD ROM on the "throne"! LOL!
 
Very true but I like lots of sources and the CD came with an ISB, Ilistrated parts breakdown with real Healey part numbers for every nut bolt and screw.
 
John, I've had (personally) more success with the Autobooks manual than the Haynes. Kenneth Ball is the author, same as the B manual.
Just my opinion.

I much prefer the Autobooks manual -- especially when it comes to transmission internals -- though I do have the others.

I have the Original Factory Manual for a MK3 and a Bently that I believe is for 59-75.
