OK, back to the basics for me. I purchased a stud, nut, and washer kit to replace all of the worn out manifold hardware. One stud came out with finger power and the next was not the case. I've used the double nut (steel) method and I can't get a bite on the stud. I can get to it with various wrenches, but I'm pretty nervous about screwing up the head. There are only a couple of suspect studs that NEED replacing from the looks of things, but you never know, I just don't want to make the situation worse. What to do? Also, is the 1098 manifold gasket and the 1275 manifold gasket the same? The one that was on the 1275 engine tore a bit while removing the headers and I have an extra set marked 1962-1966. When I hold them together I can't tell any difference.
