Manifold fitment dumb question

I'm not sure. I know - you were hoping for me to say that. I recently bought the exhaust manifold sold frequently on ebay or ~ $150 ish.
The fittings on the intake are square. The exhaust manifold are rounded. I have a 1098 exhaust (claims it should fit) and upgraded to a 1275. After discussions with the seller -- I am going to grind down the intake and the exhaust mainfold to get it to mate up.
Bottom line - sounds as if we're in the same boat. I'd recommend you look at the fittings as I did. I have a pic or two if you'd like to see what I am referring to.
Give me a week to fix my issue and I willl report back.

there are no differences in the port or stud spacing. So a 1275 manifold will fit a 1098.
George, if you have an after market manifold, and have problems doing the swap then there is something wrong with the manifold.
My wife has a Morris 1000 Traveller which had a 1098 engine and I fitted a three branch tubular manifold and an after market 1 1\2" S.U. manifold. I subsequently fitted a 1275 head which the manifolds fitted with no additional work.
