mangled inner front fenders

Greetings all; Early on in restoration of HAN6L726 Sprite Mk II. The inner front fenders on both sides are pretty badly mangled; especially the inner panel, the one that wraps around the lever shocks and has the captive nuts for mounting various bits. Moss, VB etc tell me no replacement is available. Wondering if others have had experience pounding them back to shape, or fabricating replacement. I guess I could find a good straight pair from a donor car and save myself the aggravation.

You can email Ashley Hinton in the UK and see if they have the parts new at:
ah@mgcars.org.uk
Also try AH Spares in the UK. The pound is down right now so even with shipping the cost may be reasonable. I have ordered from AH Spares in the past wtih no problem whatsoever.

Thanks- will do on the photos. As soon as I figure out how to convert them to a size that I can post on this site-- I get a 'picture too large to post' message so i have to reduce the size or image density... but i am taking lots of pictures since the car's going to the thirteen year old twins in a few years and i want them to have the full story... for better or worse, as I dig into it.

To resize so pics fit use this link. https://www.resize2mail.com/ This works great and most important for the "wee tight" crowd is free. I simply open the pic crop as needed and simply save with the same xxxfilename small designation.

Re mangled fenders. I was able to fix a mangled inner fender using a couple of blocks of hardwoord and some C Clamps and a BFH. I had scored a replacement inner fender that I was planning on welding in but I found with patience and the right leverage I could straighten the mangled fender right out.
