Man it's Hot Here!

So like......Not French kids?

(They're kinda like escargot w/o the shell)

Another record breaking day yesterday, again, 97F, heat index 110F... humidity sucks. Not as hot today, only 94, but we get a break tomorrow and the rest of the week... 80 tomorrow with storms.

This last weekend I was at the race track, and as we all know, race cars and trees don't mix, so there's not a whole lot of shade... 94 on Saturday and 96 on Sunday. I felt very bad for the drivers going out with full race suits on, they were really playing us workers up too.... didn't want their belts to be too tight, didn't want to get in the cars and be ready at the 3, wanted to wait until almost the 1 minute... tempers were getting frayed by the end of the day.

I also ended up with heat exhaustion and was sick as a dog Saturday night. I was laying down in my tent with a bottle of Advil for company by about 8:30pm. Felt better on Sunday but couldn't hack another day on the grid!

Heat index of 110Âş here too! I was just standing the garage last night just putting a few things back together and the sweat was pouring off of my forehead.

Brutal is all I can say, brutal.

Today is going to be about the same.

Hope my Pa. vacation next week has some nice weather.

Lets put the heat in prespective, last year at this time I was running around Iraq, Kevlar, Body armor and the heat was OVER 130 (no humidity) during the day from June thru Aug. It is hitting 90+ with 90% humidity here but at least no one is shooting at me or trying to blow me up as we drive around. Remember there are lots of guys/gals still over there driving around sweating they butts off

110+ here also....I love it, heat doesn't bother me at all. I am just happy I got the A/C in the caddy fixed. The LBC's seam to run pretty well in this weather too. Took the MGA out last night for a nice drive.

Just think, in a few months we'll all be complaining that its too cold! hehehehe

the power company I work for has set new electric sales records everyday for the last week except today. Today we dumped a 300 MW unit due to a fuse getting loose in it's holder, because of vibration. I didnt know Lucas made industrial stuff, reminds me of things I've found in B's. We'll probably get another record tommorrow.

Cold front approacheth - After our twin tornadoes in March, I've never been so happy to see a thunderstorm. High 81 tomorrow, ahh.

finally in the low seventies here after a very wicked looking storm (looked like something in a sci-fi flick, but with better FX) came through. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devilgrin.gif

I came thru that storm. We were on our way to Birmingham. Picked up one just as bad the next day on the way home. Mean looking /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
