Well, at least the driver's door is stripped all the way down. Need to order new seals, then I can get it buttoned back up. I hadn't planned to go this deep, but finding that missing bracket for the front channel left me with no real choice. I'd really like to fix that crack of doom too, but I don't weld so it'll have to wait.

My first thought was that I'm never buying a car with roll up windows again, but in the end it wasn't all that hard to disassemble. No idea how hard it will be to reassemble, we'll just have to see.

One question, how is the top outer seal (shown in the second photo below) attached? I really should replace it too while I've got the door apart.

Unfortunately there's no one close, and with the car not running right now (Hap's got the carbs) it means trailering it somewhere or pulling the doors off entirely, which probably means, with my schedule, that I don't drive it this year. Doors really need to be re-skinned anyways, so I'll be back inside them at some point.

All I'd really intended to do was replace the interior panel. I suppose that's the danger of looking behind things. :crazyeyes:

I hopefully learned my lesson after working on the Tunebug -- keeping the car on the road is the paramount goal.

Got the necessary seals and such ordered today, should be able to get everything installed and buttoned up shortly.
