Maker's mark on AC Cobra parts

The alternator bracket and the uprights for the front suspensions on Mark II and III Cobras have a manufacturer's mark on them which I can't identify. The mark resembles the letter"D" with what appears to be an "E" and another "D" inside the larger "D". Anyone know who made these parts? Thanks!

WHEW! When you said "Maker's mark" I thought you meant "Maker's Mark"...hehehehehe

Hang on. I have some idea there's a source I can ask...

Please have a bit of patience as this may take a while: the particular "source" is currently in New Zealand.

(Other friends worked in Texas for Caroll, too.)

And BTW: Welcome to the forum! Bristol-bodied two-seater cars are not unfarmiliar around here! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

...a friend's CS was in "Automible Quarterly" once, a while back. Tony Hogg bought it. Silver with a black hard top...

Mk.II Cobra? That'd be, what, a coil sprung car, correct? Anyway, any bracketry for the alternator (or dynamo) would be a Ford item, most likely. I believe that they came with the engines when they arrived at Shelby's premesis.
