major brake malfunction

Yea!.....Manifold vacuum is for sucking gas!

Not for helping anybody go slower.

Silly people!!!.....Argh

& when you've done all the "bandaid" repairs & put it back on the car & 6 months from now when it stops working (which it will after all that brake fluid in it), brake peddle will just be a little hard to push....that's all the booster does, make the pedal a little softer - it doesn't improve the braking at all.....on my '79 V8 car, we took the booster off....but we put onw on Jerri's '70 GT.

Wondering......
Can you take the space ship thingy off & just bolt the master to the bulkhead or is it one of those 4 hole-2 hole deals.
Also....Can ya go w/ a smaller dia. bore?

WTH.....Duel cylinder the thing. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

(BTW.........I have a collection of PDWAs) /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I'm assuming that several of you suggesting possible damage to the servo diaphragm is due to conventional brake fluid. Any experience with silicon fluid?

I've done a cylinder and servo rebuild on my '78 with silicon fluid but the car has been sitting for awhile while I've tackled other matters. Have noticed a bit of fluid at the bottom of the servo recently and assume it is getting through the new seals in the cyllinder (even after taking a hone to the interior surface) and dripping into the servo. If the new diaphragm is subject to damage by any fluid, I need to get on the stick....

In Tony's humble opinion, any fluid in the servo will do damage - it ain't supposed to be there!

Oh my gosh, since when has Tony been humble? heheheheh

I'm learning, Jack, I'm learning.....

I'm right there with ya Colonel. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/jester.gif
