I'm in the proses of purchasing everything i need to put my engine back together, and iv ran into a problem.

I'm ready to buy the Rod bearings and the Main bearings for the engine. The only problem is i don't know which ones i need. There are four different types to choose from.

Standard
.010
.020
.030

I was thinking of getting the standard but I'm not gonna order until i know for sure.

So my question is.
How do i know which size i have and which size i should order.

P.S. Im buying from this site https://www.northwestimportparts.com/default.aspx
Good cheap prices compared to some things on Moss.
Haven't had a problem with them yet.

Look at the back of your old bearings. What you need depends on what you had in it; if the crank has been worked before.

Lemme guess, you took it all apart and threw away the old bearings, right?

Nope iv still got everything from when i took it apart. its all in plastic bags with labels so nothing get mixed up or lost. And the old bearings don't say anything about there size. iv looked all over them and haven't seen a single thing that indicates its size

They should have a pt# and 010, 020, 030 or 10, 20, 30. My factory ones didn't have anything and they were STD. What's the pt# off the back, got a pic? Google the pt# and you'll know.

looks like you need to measure the crank!
Maybe take it down to the local machine shop with the shop manual which lists the journal sizes, bring beer, and maybe, they will help you out!

Main bearing VP 4691 other side AEG 158

Rod Bearing Vp 2783 Other side 2A 690

From what im reading i just need the standards.

From what I've read STD/STD but it's ALWAYS best to mic them to be sure. Hap should be along shortly and will be able to tell you if indeed these are STD.
