TR2/3/3A Main ground connection

Watching a you tube video of a guy working on an electrical problem on a modern car/truck he traced the problem to a faulty ground wire from the frame to the body.

On the TR3 the battery ground connects to the body up by the battery box. The motor ground is made to the frame by a breaded strap. Is the connection from the body to the frame purely made by chance connections where body bolts make a connection?

Yup. They do make a pretty good connection; but you can do slightly better by running a big cable from the battery negative to the engine block.

If you are still positive ground, the new big cable would go from battery positive to the block. My main ground goes to the block with body/frame and frame/block connections.
