My latest Moss order arrived. Page A 16, top of page, decal & plate kit.

What the heck does the item with the red caution go??

In addition I got an item not shown White on Black, says Smiths and a couple of arrows with + and - and the word Rotation.
What is it?

Oh yea, now have a new heater plate.

Did you call Moss yet? Years ago at the 25th AH in Snowmass CO there was a guy from CA that brought the best example of a factory fresh 58 Sprite I had (have) ever seen.(took best in class)Anyway, one item (haven't seen since)was a bracket wired or attached to the upper radiator hose that said something about a "hot"warning don't touch...wonder about your tag

Actually it says: " <span style="color: #FF0000">CAUTION</span> IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO DRAIN HEATER UNIT WHEN DRAINING REMAINDER OF COOLING SYSTEM-UNDER FREEZING CONDITIONS BLUECOL ANTI - FREEZE MUST BE USED.

This tag has a hole at each end, like for a rivet or a wire?

Well it's been a loong time.. maybe the tag was rapped around the heater hose. Anyway the reason it hasn't been seen is the first time the hose was replaced the tag went with it.. Maybe the Heritage Group knows.. I'll check my copy of the factory part list from 60's.

The black/white "rotation" sticker is for the heater blower motor.

Can't recall where it went, above or below the "SMITHS" logo but the CAUTION tag was riveted to the heater box someplace. Looong time since I've seen an "original" bugeye heater box!

My heater box still has the original metal plate attached but painted over... Let me know the OD of decal and I'll compare

oh, I am good with heater tag, is metal. Holes are already drilled in my heater cover for the tag rivets. Can you look at your tag. Any one know what the numbers stamped into the tag should be??
