Doesn't tell the whole story I know - but at another level not far off the truth.

I agree. don't get me wrong I would love to see and even drive the Ferrari but my goodness it would terrify me. I have a number of car club friends who won't take their cars anywhere where it might be left alone for fear of being vandalized. The Midget I can just leave and not worry.

Sheesh, I can't even squeeze into a Midget. Changed a clutch for a guy and he had to test drive it himself. With my legs, a TR6 isn't much better. Don't have the problem with my Jags. But, the Ferrari is too much to trust around regular people.

I know! Actually as I wrote this I realized my one friend didn't want to take his car (Roller) to a dinner theatre in rural Ontario Amish country. :ROFLMAO:

hmmm - makes one wonder ... having classic old cars but being afraid of driving them seems a bit self-defeating. My '53 MGTD was run off the road and into a ditch by motorcycles - and that was on a two lane blacktop country road. My '58 Rambler was crowded onto an Interstate shoulder by cars racing along at 30 over the speed limit.

yeesh

Imagine your nerves if it was the Ferrari instead of the MG or the Rambler.

Was at Amelia Island this weekend. No less than 10 Ferrari 275 GTB/s and even a GTO. All fabulous. Glad I wasn't the judge for Best In Class for that group. 1 BE Mike Merritt from PA showed up for Cars and Coffee, a very nice all original BE, and there was a Big Healey on display but paled in comparison to the other cars in it's class.

Long time since I'd seen an Espada! Quite the lineup.

Any of the "exotic" examples we'd get in the shop for resto or engine rebuild, after I'd done the engine I would drive it the first five hundred miles to be certain it was right. A come-back due to immediate client abuse was not an option. The "responsibility factor" was always first and foremost on my mind. A Weber'd up V-12 Ferrari 400 was the last one I did, drove it as a commuter car for a week. 100 mile round trips to home and back, mostly on an Interstate highway. Had "cr*p down th' back of me neck" most of the time!

I'll stick with my humble little four cylinder examples, thankewverymuch.
