I remember reading an article about that car awhile back. As I recall it was never raced extensively, if at all, outside of Asia.

Nice looking car, and a neat survivor.

The Macau Spitfire was raced in the U.S. sportscar races both in 4 cyl and 6 cyl forms by Kas Kastner and Charlie Gates. Kas acquired the car in 1966 and brought it to California. It wasn't competitive with the 1200cc 4 cyl so Kas stuffed a 2 litre GT6 motor into it.

Does anyone have an idea of how much a car like the Macau Spit would cost on today's market?

Just wondering.

Mark,

I have no idea how much it is worth, but I'd be willing to trade my spit for it anytime.

Cheers,
