I just got my new Mac Studio on August 1, so it is running Ventura 13.5. Now the upgrade is available to Sonoma. Has anyone uploaded it yet?

I don't want any problems with my currently smooth running machine which is so much faster working on my photos in Lightroom and Luminar NEO.

We have one machine here at the school that was "upgraded" to Sonoma. Doesn't seem to be much different than Ventura...nothing has outright failed yet but also aren't seeing any real advantages yet.

I'd give them some time to get the major bugs out....modern software releases are driven more by corporate desire to hit a target date than whether its really ready or not. The "release it now, fix it later" mentality makes pretty much everyone who grabs it early effectively a beta-tester. They have already released a couple updates to it, which means they knew it wasn't realy ready for prime time.

I'd wait until the update releases slow down to once a month or so, to me thats a much better measure of whether or not the software is actually done or not.

(full disclosure - I still run a combination of Yosemite, Sierra and Catalina on my machines partially for software/hardware compatibility issues and party because I beleive in the "don't fix what isn't broken" mentality)...
