Recently I have noticed the terminology " Lucas Tungsten " used to describe a variety of Joseph Lucas NOS parts (mainly by sellers on eBay). Any Lucas experts out there? Why the "Tungsten" term? We all know that tungsten is the main component in incandescent lamp filaments, but how/what was the intention of Lucas in using this term to describe electrical components?

Since no one else has commented on this, I'll give it a try. Might be a Lucas wiring harness term? Probably has something to with leaking smoke out of the wiring harness. Lucas harnesses are known for that. If it needs replacing, this will probably help after the harness is repaired. Hopefully it's still available. Makes about as much sense as Lucas Tungsten!
