This applies to many LBCs, so I'm posting it here. Can't find a way to attach a PDF file.

Very interesting old Lucas instruction manual, part of a series. Note the reference to "our coils are made for positive earth systems" - and the rationale for doing so.

The explaination for positive earth was interesting.
I'm not sure how the 10% efficiency number was deduced, but the direction of material transfer from cap to rotor makes sense.

I know this has been mentioned here before, but HERE are some other British technical manuals online. The creator of this website is a neighbour of mine.
