Lucas 2-wire alternator???

Is anybody familiar with a Lucas 2-wire alternator? I replaced my TR8's 25ACR with a rebuild and it came with 2 lug terminals versus the three spade terminals that were on the old one. I'm guessing the large terminal is direct to battery and the smaller one is a switched 12V exciter, but not wanting to fry the thing right off the bat, thought I'd ask the experts. Thanks.

I'm not familiar with it, but almost certainly the small terminal is for the warning light on the dash (which does double-duty as exciter). Check the case for any markings nearby, normally the exciter/dash lamp terminal is designated "D+" or "IND". A 12v sense lead will be marked "S".
