lubricant SL2

Country flag
Offline
I stopped by my local NAPA to get a lubricant for the dizzy cam (SL2 it is called). They had no clue what I was asking for and suggested a tube of dielectric stuff that I use to get better contact for lights in sockets. Many years ago they use to supply it with a points kit. I had some saved up but now its all gone. What do you all use on the cam to reduce ware?
Thanks

My memory is probably wrong, but when I was doing underwater photography with a Nikonos I seem to remember the lubricant for the lens O ring being an sl2,sl meaning silicon

Standard Blue Streak and Bosch still sell it in small tubes... Online or a dealer that handles either of the above should be able to get it for you. Use sparingly on the cam.
