TR2/3/3A Lowering my 3a

Hi Folks
As some of you know, I do uk sprints and hill climbs in the TR Register club championships.
Very amateur car and driver and apart from complex engine and gearbox stuff I do all the spannering myself.

couple of years ago i firmed up the front end with uprated springs and anti roll or sway bar. But I always thought it sat too high and was too stiff. Whilst last year was a good one. I decided to try and lower the car and add a rear axle brace as I use tyres that are just too wide and sticky - that triumph never dreamed of.
I have made longer rear spring shackles that have been braced with a spacer tube.
serviced the shocks and used SAE68 oil about 25wt.
The front uses high rate springs with thick poly isolators and the Ali spacer removed.
It looks lower and I actually feel it has free’d up the suspension as I now think it was at full stretch and was doing very little.
Is it a performance improvement?
Is it too low? ( especially when I fit the low profile competition tyres ?
We will see.
Some pics for your enjoyment.
( sorry but I don’t know how to embed the pics only add them ass attachments)

Would the axle brace perform the same function as a rear anti sway bar? I remember reading an article about racing modifications by Ken Gillanders. They tried different set ups for the rear end of the TR3 and found that the rear sway bar was more of a hindrance than a plus. I don't remember why but I'll try and find the pamphlet where i saw the write up and post it. Of course a rear sway bar is different than your axle brace so it may not apply. It looks great and I hope the set up shaves time off your track times.(y)(y)

Thanks Guys
I think the stance looks better but can take another inch off ground clearance with the low profile competition tyres.

I hope that the axles brace takes some stress off the axles tubes where they join the cast diff hub. As these are not fully welded.
just some extra support I hope. I haven’t bothered with a rear sway bar. There are some that say you need to fit front and rear or none at all. But I’m content so far with just the front.

I've raced a couple of cars which were only equipped with a sway bar at one end. In some cases, it can be brilliant. Hanging just a rear bar on a Saab 99 really transformed the handling. Or should I say, it really GAVE the car some handling. Then adding a front bar made it corner flatter overall, but it also reintroduced the understeer that I had tried to dial out.
