For me, these came to mind. Sorry but I'm more of a purist.

Burger budget, but wanted steak.
Always wanted a big Healey.

Yeah, I immediately thought about that "100S Bugeye" when I saw the first picture...thanks. I couldn't find it.

And for those who think that these paint jobs are over the top.....Here's my pal Dave Z.
Dave has a Volvo, but as you can see, he *really* wishes he had a classic Alfa (picture taken at Summit Point TT / Nov 06).

Interesting enough it has the proper spare tire strap downs, bonnet latches, vented green leather seats, steering wheel. Very much detail. Perhaps the bloke ran across a big group of 100 to 100S conversion parts and couldn't bring himself to conver a BN1 or 2.

The 100S-style Bugeye belongs to Dan Wing. It's quite a piece of work. I first saw it at the big one in Lake Tahoe in 2002, and have since seen it at the All Briish Field Meet in Bellevue, Washington, this past summer. Dan really drives it, as if it needed to be said.

Now I dare anyone to make their 100S look like a Bugeye... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif
