On or about Sept 15/11 in Gander, Nfld during the Targa Newfoundland rally. This Lotus Exige rear clip was left in the parking lot pit crew area after the team ran out of time doing repairs for the start of the next leg. They had spent the night replacing the blown engine. Wired the tail/brake lights to the chassis and ran sans clip. Ran well too.

Cheers,

One of our resident, BCF racers here, Michael Oritt, ran in the Targa Newfoundland (he was a navigator in a big Healey).

Related: I was driving my MGB yesterday and a guy in a new Elise waved at me. I was sort of surprised, but I waved back in time.

Is this hanging in you garage now?

I wish! - Couldn't fit it in our stage ops crew vehicle.
That big Healey, a 1953 100 was driven by Mike Salter with your friend Mike Oritt as co-driver and ran at least six Targas as far as I know. One year they pretty much destroyed it in a wreck and were back the next year good as new. Very, very nice car and great to see the older Brit stuff running that grueling rally. Here's a pic.

The rearend reminds me of my son coming back to our pit when he race a little honda 50 in Guam. He was dragging a fender and a door from a Baja truck that was signed by Ivan Stewart. Pretty good score for a youngster.
