Lotus Elite rear window / panel disaster

The unthinkable has happened.

The struts that hold up the rear window of the my hatch to my elite failed, the rear window came crashing down and the glass just exploded.

Does anyone know where to get a replacement piece of glass or a place that does custom glass? I've called the usual lotus parts suppliers here in the US (david bean may have one - they are parting out an elite) - but the out look it grim.

Thoughts?

Hey Creeping Fur,

I'm currently running my Elite hatch-less, and Dave Bean as of about six weeks ago wanted $500 for their used hatch. Maybe you'll buy it, and then in 20 years when the Elite S1 is worth something, I'll be sorry I didn't.
 
Actually, a friend and me are looking to ship a 20" container of parts in for both his lotus (S3 Esprit) and my Elite - and in that case your welcome to pick up anything you need from Lotusbits. The rear glass is only $80 USD in that case. Things like 912 blocks are way cheaper from the UK.
