If I had money, I'd have way more cars and projects than time would allow...

Me, too.,

Now the Westfield 11 might be interesting but at £9K + a sacrificial Midget I could have a couple interesting "real" classics (or 4 or 5 projects besides the current one) cluttering up the space I haven't got and annoying the wife I do have....

The Never Ending Tale...

Just chalk it up to normal Y chromosome enthusiasm. We're HUNTER-GATHERERS after all! It just "shows t' go ya" we've substituted other things for the traditional "game".

"Honey! Lookit!!! I just bagged a '78 Alfa Spider!!!

I still wish I'da had the money for that Lambo last year. What a pretty engine! And the car weren't bad either. It went for somewhere around 14,500. Someone coulda made a new quarter panel, but the rear window might've been hard to find. Guy spun it out and backed into a guard rail. Real pretty light metalic blue too.

Ahh, the one's that got away.

Lamborghinis are very tough to restore, and the 350GT is extremely tough, because it wasn't in production long. My friend restored a Miura from a rusty wreck, but he's a first-class professional body man. (And he spent around 4000 hours on it!!!) He fabricated so much of the car.

But that being said, I'd love to find a 350 for under $15K.

As I remember, that 250GT was actually a 250GTE -- the 2+2. In perfect condition, they are only around $60K, so buying one for $15K isn't a really great idea. A few years ago, it was nearly impossible to get more than $45K for a GTE. It is very easy to spend $100,000 restoring a GTE (or any 12cyl 2+2 Ferrari,) yet wind up with a $50K car.
