My daughter was watching "The Backyardigans" cartoon on NickTV last week. I looked over to see the penguin character dressed up like James Bond...he was driving a red Lotus Elan. It appeared to be a SII car, due to center-lock wheels and the split-second of rear animation seemed to be rectangular lights, rather than round.
The car turned from snowmobile into helicopter into car into boat.
But the animator must have been an Elan fan, because the interior and dashboard was dead-on correct, including toggles etc...
I was very impressed...so much that I took a picture of the screen and sent it to my father, who is still enjoying his red S1 car.
