A small critter of sorts climbed up a pole and had dinner on our fiber optic cable, probably a squirrel! But it cost us four and a half days of shut down! New cable up and Internet back!

It’s not just fiber optic cable they like. They manage to chew our line every two or three years. At least it was only a few days!

I've told this story before but a years ago a friend's children's hamster died - they had the funeral in the backyard and he sent them in to watch a movie only to find he had cut the cable digging the grave.

The only moose and squirrel I can think of is Bullwinkle and Rocky. Boris, Natasha and Fearless Leader.
