Lost My Dad Today

paul161, that's sad news, i recently lost my dad he was also in the merchant marines w.w.2, would have been 80 in April, perhaps our dads are now together having a brew yacking it up about old times.

From my wife and I, thanks to all for your kind words. It's great to be among so many people who are not only enjoyable to be associated with, but have a compassionate nature as well.

I also would like to add my condolences! I have yet to suffer the loss of my dad, and dread the day (sooner than later, I fear!) The strength and valor of their generation will certainly do honor to their memory!! :grouphug:

Sincere condolences Paul!
Loss of a parent brings home the true meaning of all this.
Your respect for him is very evident. He raised a good son.

Dave

Paul:

I am very sorry to hear, and as Doc said that is one of the hardest losses.

If you need anything we are always here for you.

Pat

So sorry to hear about your loss. I lost my own father 22 years ago. I still miss him. I can tell you from experience that in a short time this hurt will pass and you will only remember the good times. It is true that time heals all wounds. You will be in my thoughts and prayers. God bless.

Kindest Regards John

Paul, I'm also very sorry to hear about your Dad. Ninety-two is a pretty good ride, though. I'm sure he had a lot to be proud of.

Best wishes to you and your family.

Paul...my condolences...his spirit lives on through you...
