My Dad was one of the very few Merchant Marines left that helped supply England with food and supplies during WW2. He was always very proud of that, but never bragged about it. He said a couple of times, he could never figure how he and his ship made it through and back twice, when so many others didn't even make it one way. He would say, I guess it was just the luck of the Irish and smile. He just had his 92nd birthday in February. He passed in his sleep with no pain. All that knew him will miss him. PJ
