that has got to be the most un-convincing discovery ever ...

It was on NatGeo?

Not really a "discovery" since I'm sure they knew where it was all along.

In 100 years it will be Jobs' bones. :wink-new:

That's sort of what I'm feeling. But the show's production value (looks like a couple Diggers on amphetamines) aren't very impressive. The guys screaming as they use a buzz saw to cut the tube open, the camera just quickly hints at what's inside, etc., they hold up a plastic bag and one guy says yep - it's a Lisa mouse. Wish they'd given some background. There were a few other objects inside the tube, but can't figure out why such a large tube was used for so few items.

That segment leads you to believe Steve invented the mouse, which isn't true.

It's all part of the decline of these shows... Discovery, Science, Nat. Geo., and History Channels. The Science channel often has stuff on ALIENS!!! History has sunk really low.

Is thirty the new 100?

Mark - agree with you on that! PBS "History Detectives" is a joke. Secrets of the Dead (with candles dripping wax, creepy wet caves, mysterious organ music, and "men in black robes") showing the discovery of a WW2 aircraft, even NOVA with speeded up action, super duper graphics, etc. Seems it's all a desperate attempt to hold the interest of the viewer, before he/she cranks up Flappy Birds.

yeesh

Dude, that's the government using the media to prepare our little brains to the fact that Roswell actually happened, well, I mean with the alien spacecraft and all that. That's my theory anyways...

History has sunk really low.

Well, there's only so much of it. You can only hear about WWII so many time... Ya know, sooner or later they gonna run outta bullets...

Don't get me wrong, I'm not defending the replacement, jus' sayin...

Was it dead? :highly_amused:
