My healey club is considering the purchase of a race ready 1275 Sprite for SCCA competition. Please advise if you have one or know of one for sale.

ehhh... which Healey club? Bluegrass?

Yes Trevor; Bluegrass. You going to vote yes and help with maintainance and tuning?

Steve, should have known it was you.
I dunno, lots of logistical issues there.
I'll talk to you off board, but are you thinking about a car to be truly competitive, or just something to get people involved?

How could a club afford to buy a car?How would you
agree on how to/what to spend money on.And how would you
agree on who gets to drive it?
I'm just curious on how this would work.

Many issues yet to work out like purchase and maintainence budgets. Driving would be open to all club members with pre-agreed limitations. Goal is to provide opportunity for club members to experience autocross racing in a safe environment without beating up their expernsive cars. We have a shop space for storage and work, several good mechanics willing to volenteer their services, and several former and current SCCA drivers and owners. Lots of resources, not sure yet about consensus for club ownership.

provide opportunity to get people involved. A truly competitive car would be interesting but probably too expensive and time consuming for all members
