Found this shot of my Alfa 1750 engine. Mounted the 40mm Webers after it went into the chassis.

That and the Jaguar are probably the best looking engines out there. Ever see an Alfa 164 engine? That's some piece of engineering.

Is that wrinkle-finish on the valve cover? Did you add that?
Yes, I painted it with wrinkle finish. Added the MG logo sticker after that shot was made.

It looks so clean and well-maintained for a classic car like the Alfa 1750.
Of all the Alfa four cylinders, the 1750 engine is my personal favorite. This one I rebuilt and put into the '78 Spider chassis. Painted the head wrinkle finish red as a partial homage to Shankle Engineering.
