Looking for used seat covers

Country flag
Offline
I'm looking for some used but presentable seat covers for a 1500 midget.

Specifically, I need the backs and black in color. The ones that are currently in the car are ripped all across the top and patched with duct tape.

Can anyone help?

No, I want the factory vinyl pattern things.

Thanks, but those are an aftermarket design. They would fit, but the headrest wouldn't match and that is a bit more than I'm wanting to spend. I'm trying to make the car presentable/usable/safe for as little money as possible.

However, I do like the simple pleat design. It is what I have in my Midget.

Stupid me, when you said back I thought you meant the cardboard piece behind the seat.. Trev. check out my seats in the "home rolled carpet" thread. They are JC Whitney covers but use the VW Bug pattern. I really like them and leaving the headrests off makes for a cleaner look. The headrest holes are unpunched so no one can tell they are headrest seats.

Wait, they are for a VW, but fit the midget frames/cushions?

Yes? and how much did they cost?

As a matter of fact.... I have some in my shed. I was keeping them around in the event that the next person who owns my car might want to put them back in. As I recall, the backs ar in pretty good shape.

If I can get them off without tearing them up, they are yours. But I won't be able to get to it until this weekend... or possibly later. I am working a lot of overtime.

Trevor, I vote for replacing the duct tape with gorilla tape! Stronger and it is a dark color! Just look at the savings in time!

Kurt.

Thanks Morris, but don't disassemble a good pair of seats. I'm looking for someone that recovered a set and kept the backs because they were in still good condition.

Now I'm curious about those old VW seat covers. They are cheap enough I may just try them.... if in fact that is what those are.

Kurt, I think it may be gorilla tape, but it hasn't weathered well.

They are not good seats... If someone where to use them, he would have to completely rebuild them and recover them. Also the frames were pretty rusted when I put them away, so they may be unusable at this point.

Lemme know if you change your mind.
