 I need an "Original" spark plug wrench to complete the tool kit for my 1962 TR4. I only need the tube wrench part, not the bar.

This is the last thing I need to complete my TR4 restoration.

You can contact me through the Contact Tab on my personal website with the price including shipping to Mechanicsburg, PA and condition at: www.jakegingervila.wix.com/bobs-vintage-cars-

Photo if possible.

Wow, I'm past the requisite 3 score and ten and have never been able to make that statement.
I'm not sure there is anything "original" about those wrenches, though. At the time they came with anything that had a spark plug. I have several but never kept track of what it was that they came with.
Congratulations on the resto.

Hey Vila...did a search but wasn't able to find anything, but would you have a list of what was originally in the TR4 toolkit? I also have a 62 build, 63 sell and am looking at the tools I have and want to know what was original or not. Pics would be appreciated. Thanks

Here's what was in the boot of my fairly original '64 when I got it 14 years ago:

Can't swear it's complete but what is there is original.

Anybody know what model these factory tools came from? The top tool has a 3/4" socket on 1 end and 1 Tommy bar hole.
The lower tool has a 3/4" socket on 1 end and a 13/16" spark plug wrench on the other with 2 Tommy bar holes.
I responded to Vila's ad and evidently they aren't from a TR4 tool kit. They need a new home.

Ghawk16, here are the tools listed in the "Triumph 20 TR4 Spare Parts Catalogue". I believe I listed all tools from the catalogue.

1. Wheel nut spanner (Folding wrench used with steel wheels only. You can see it to the right in Geo,s kit).
2. Headlight rim removal tool
3. 3/8 x 7/16 AF spanner (TW Slimline open end wrench)
4. 5/8 x 3/4 AF spanner (TW Slimline open end wrench)
5. 1/2 x 9/16 AF spanner (TW Slimline open end wrench)
6. Slip joint Grips (English pliers)
7. Screwdriver (Usually Sheffield or Marples brand, approximately 6 or 7 inches long with 1/4 inch-ish blade.
8. Tommy Bar (for tube and spark plug spanners)
9. 1/2 x .56 Tube Spanner (I have)
10. Spark Plug Spanner (I don't have. It looks similar to Titanic's top spanner pictured above except it is 13/16)
11. Tecalemite grease gun
12. Adjustable wrench
13. Feeler gauge (I don't have. I don't believe every kit had this, but as I recall it is 3 pieces of gauge metal riveted in the middle for a total of 6 gauges)
14. Distributor screwdriver / gauge (This is that little Lucas tool with a feeler riveted to it)
15. Vertical screw style jack. (I also keep a scissors jack wrapped in a towel in trunk)
16. Jack Ratchet handle
17. Tool roll

I also have the tool for removing the hubcaps, but it is not listed in the catalogue (approximately 3/8 x 10 inches long with hook on one end as pictured

My kit is for a steel wheel car, if you have wire wheels you can eliminate the Wheel Nut spanner and add the knock off hammer (called a "Mallet, hub nut" in the parts catalogue).

Berry, the bottom one might be for an air cooled VW engine.

Hi PB-Actually the bottom tool looks like the spark plug wrench from a TR6 tool kit shown in the vol. 2 TRF catalog, plate GT #19.
Vila-I think I have #13 (the helicopter feeler gauge), if you are interested.

So it looks like I'm missing some items. Thanks for posting those up! If I could get with the times and figure out how to post a pic from Flickr I'd post pics of mine. Looks like I need to clean the rust off mine and paint them black. Would like to find the ones I'm missing as well. Now look what you've done Vila! Cheers!

To post a picture go down below the window where you are typing your reply and select "Go Advanced" then scroll down to "Attachments" and select "Manage Attachments".

From there select "Add Files" found in the upper right corner of the window then press "Select Files" when the next window appears.

Find where you have the picture stored on your computer, select the desired picture and press Open. Now select "Upload Files" and they will appear in the attachment section. If you have pictures in the Folders section of the window you can also click on them and add them to the Attachment section.

The last step is to select "Insert Inline".

I used a picture of my TR4 interior to work through the steps.
