looking for simple Weber Wisdom, and angled air horns

I've got some Weber DCOE bodies, a couple of which have an approximately 5/8" diameter hole into the main body, just above the left intake side barrel, and a couple that don't have this hole. The rectangular air filters I have provide filtered air to this 'hole'. I'd like to run air horns, which will leave it exposed. Any suggestions as to what to do with it, or why it's there? (plug it? fill it with something porous (giant cigarette filter? piece of old panty-hose?)

Also, I'd like to use uni filter pod filters on the air horns, but the front one rubs on the body. I've got a couple of 90 degree air horns from Ireland Engineering that would allow the use of the filters and plenty of clearance, but ordering them up to this side of the 49th verges on prohibitively expensive due to shipping etc. for this particular item. Anyone aware of any other suppliers of a 90 degree air horn for 40 DCOE?

Thanks, Doug

I purchased Uni Filters at the same time as the Ireland 90 degree air horns, and fished the second filter out of that packaging this evening and found a shaped piece of red foam that the instructions advised oiling, removing the top from the DCOE, and slipping it into the chamber behind the 'hole', as the foam will then filter any air moving in and out of the inside of the carb and maintaining an air pressure balance.

Now, I'm gonna have to have a look at the DCOE's without the hole....
