Bugsy II came with a brand new top but he is missing the header bar and the retainer bar in the back that slides inside the pocket in the top. Anyone got a spare available.Thanks.

Jim, the front bar is a common strip of steel or aluminum and I'll have to get the size for you. I'm not familiar with the rear retainer bar since I've never put my top on! If it's the same as the later ss piece I have one of those.

Both the back bar and the header bar are easy to make. Its been covered before but I wouldn't know where to look. Other wise you will need some measurements. I have one homemade back bar and the header bar on my BE I don't believe is correct. Could be wider. The rear bar you can pretty much tell what the dimension's should be just by where the top snaps down. I bent one up cold in the vise a while back. I'll see if I can't give you a bit more when I check on that paint!

Guys if it is that simple I will have access to a set when I being Bugsy III home as he has a top on him now. This sounds simple if just flat steel or possibly a little curve needed. I think I'm good then.

I tried him but he doesn't want to sell separately. Plus he wants $65 for the set. I believe AH spares has both for 20 or so IIRC.

Jim

I think that I have a spare of one or both. I'll look later today

Thanks Ray. Appreciate the help.

I have a spare rear for sure. I have a a header bar....still trying to determine if it's a spare.

Ray

i'll take the rear. And the header if indeed a spare. PM me with price and I'll put a check in the mail. Thanks.

Anything else while we're at it. Might save a bit of postage if we don't do these things one at a time.

Thanks Bill. Ray offhand I' m sure something else will come up along the way but not aware of anything else right now. Dash parts are complete other than new knobs. Got all lamps and lenses. I do need a heater plate on the PS for a body fitting. My DS is a stainless one, didn't think those were available 30 years ago. Headlamp rims with decent chrome. Headlight Buckets are good they just need minor cleanup and painting. Working on painting of front suspension bits and cleanup so I can convert to disks. Do need to order front and rear brake hoses. Resleeving done, got later backing plates. Will be ordering rear brake kit, wheel cylinders, hardware and shoes. Front pads on donor calipers look almost unused, have new rotors and wishbones are rebuilt. I 'm sure there is other stuff to order but offhand I don't have any desperate needs. Thanks Ray for all of your help.

Both rails are on the way by UPS. Tracking number is 1Z6R058E1235414375. Shipping was $19.10. You decide what they're worth when you get them.

I have a spare set of wheel cylinders I believe. Which dash knobs do you need?

I do need a heater plate on the PS for a body fitting. Not sure what you mean here.

Ray the heater door/fresh air door something MOSS is now selling in Stainless Steel after many years. They are in the footwell next to your right knee. Thanks for sending the bars. I'll get a check out to you.

Ray,

i need one of those. I can't think of anything else right now. Let me know what you want for it and I'll get a check to you. Thanks Ray!!!

Ray thanks, I went with the one on E-Bay. Thanks again for your help.
