Spitfire Looking for a Spitfire

Okay...short term memory loss here, but I remember someone on this forum looking for Spitfire. The TTN has one in their classified section. It is listed as a '67 MKIII and has a link to the restoration work. Appears to be in good shape, but like 'Shultz" - "I know nothing!"

That might possibly have been me... I am looking for a Spit, but more the Mark 1 & 2 models.

What is the TTN, by the way?

Saw one that looked really nice sitting along route 51-- main drag in Minoqua, Wisconsin. Dunno if it advertised on the web. Wis seems like an unlikely but fertile place for old cars, barn finds, etc, it seems. Saw a bunch when crossing Wis on route 8 in small towns, etc.

Makes me wish I lived closer! Not too many LBCs around here in Utah barns and such.

You might want to look on e-bay. Not just in the car brouser, but also on the parts & assy section. Theres one listed now with no reserve.

Good luck
Carl

Thanks for posting your find--good pictures too. Too bad about the bonnet scoop though.

I've got a Spit in Las Vegas under consideration right now, and one may have also just turned up here in Utah. All of a sudden I have options!
