Looking for a pair of inner bumper brackets

Happy Veterans Day everyone--I'm looking for a pair of the 18" brackets that connect the frame to the front bumper. I understand that they don't make them any more. Have found a pair in CA for $155. I was wondering if the "audience" thinks this is a competitive price, or if anyone knows of any other sources. Can't find anything on e-bay, but I am not very good at using e-bay either.
Thanks,

Happy Veterans Day to you, and thank you for your service. If the brackets you need are what I'm thinking of, it is way too much in my opinion. I think I have some spares, pm me if you are interested and we can talk..

That may be expensive but if he is speaking of the bracket that attaches to the frame, that is a part that is no longer made. It took me 6 months to find a set.

And they are easily damaged. The ones I got with TS13571L (which is wearing a widemouth apron) were ruined, as were all the other parts cars I've disassembled over the years.

Rimmers has them listed used, for about $75 each at current exchange rates, plus shipping from the UK. Bet that's where the $155 price came from ...

Hello:
I bought new brackets from TRF for the front bumper of my TR3.
These are the early style, and cost about $35 each.
You might give them a call as they don't list half of the stuff they have available.

Emmett; Are you talking about the brackets springs that attach to the bumper or bumper brackets that attach to the frame? The bumper springs are available the bumper brackets are not.

Just caught that's the rear spring not the front! Duh!

Early ones are Stanpart 700907/700908/800559/800560 and are indeed available. However, the later ones 606515/616516 don't seem to be available new anywhere.
<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:]You might give them a call as they don't list half of the stuff they have available.[/QUOTE]Actually, 99.9% of what they have IS listed, IF you look in the parts database. The confusing part is that they do not publish a full catalog for the TR2-4A; and the "Mini Catalog" does cover only a small fraction of what they carry. You need to get the factory "Spare Parts Catalogue" to look up the Stanpart number; and then look for that number in TRF's parts database.

Very different to the way most American businesses are run, but apparently quite common in the UK. Moss is particularly amusing, since their UK division uses mostly Stanpart numbers, while the US division uses only the numbers they made up themselves.

PS, there is a PDF version of the TR3 SPC available for download at

Unfortunately it is just a scan, so not text-searchable. Still better than nothing, though. I've gradually been adding page numbers and bookmarks to my copy, which make it a lot more usable.
