Looking for a fuel gauge ......

Hi All:

I was wondering if anyone had a good Smith's FG 2530 / 70 fuel gauge for sale or trade. I've resorted to changing my sending unit to a later model as my 64 AH MK 2 has a gauge which is bad and is made of unobtaiium.

I've checked through ebay and no luck (all looks lousy). Any thoughts on who to talk to? I looked at AHSpares and wanted $150 core charge - an ship over the pond.

George, you could have your fuel gauge and sending unit restored. I had mine done at West Valley instruments in California. Nisonger also has good reviews but I’ve never used them.
The original Smith’s sending units can be restored, the after market from Moss cannot. I had nothing but trouble with the replacement sending units, Moss replaced 3 before I gave up.
