Looking for a Datsun 210 tranny

My friend is seeking a 210 for his project BE. Anyone know a source for this tranny? Anybody have one for sale?

Best bet seems to be your local junkyards. They do pop up on eBay pretty regularly as well, but you'll be paying full price there. Some BCFers have found good deals by trolling through their local boneyards.

i have a client in the scrap business and he's looking too.

A Datsun by any other name ?

www.car-part.com
?

Thanks for the link. When I went there they don't list Datsun
in the make/model drop down menu. ????
Them sucker must be rare. :jester:
I'll try Nissan.

Edit: yep...it's a Nissan. A rose by any other name I guess.

Re: A Datsun by any other name ?

I know alot of people around here that can more than likely find one for you.

I ask a guy I work with Emilio if he knew where to find one(he builds race cars of all types and knows alot of junkyards around here) He just said he needs to know what year your looking for? And he could get you one.

Alot of the Racers around here take those cars do the rotor swaps in them for drag. So parts for original shouldn't be to hard to find

Re: A Datsun by any other name ?

#&%^$*&%$#....That'll teach me to watch my e-bay and not go shopping. I'm hosting a large family reunion this weekend and
took the day off to get the vittles for the shindig. Drats!
It's gone. :frown:

Re: A Datsun by any other name ?

Why don't you send the guy a message and tell him you were late and if it's still available you would like to buy it?
He has sold 3 others in the $400 range recently.

If I knew how to reach him I would. It's not showing
up when I search e-bay for Datsun 210. I just spoke with my friend and the price was right.

click here to contact the ebay member

Or click on his name on the auction and then click "contact member".

Mucho thanks! I'll pass this along! Man, I love this forum.

Edit; he's going to contact that seller and see if one is available. My friend is selling a super duper Judson Supercharger on e-bay to finance more goodies for the BE.
He's dead after blowing my little Screamin' Mimi away. :jester:
Knowing him the end product will be special and done to the 9s.

Re: A Datsun by any other name ?

Gundy - Another one on ebay..I think its the same guy. Just listed this time, so you time to react!
item # 280337289951

Re: A Datsun by any other name ?

My friend is in touch with the guy. They appear to be headed to a done deal. Thanks!

Re: A Datsun by any other name ?

Found one in Oregon instead. E-bay guy wanted $460.
Oregon guy wants $125 and gives a 30 day warranty.
He'll probably re-build the darn thing any way. It's just
his nature so the $125 made a lot more sense and less cents.

Re: A Datsun by any other name ?

Sweet deal.
I still like mine with a new clutch and plate and bearing and the linkage and shifter and knob for $150. Out of a working car, the guy was majorly PO'd after pulling the motor and putting in a new clutch and then having the head blow up on him so I got the deal on the tranny.
That said - $125 is a spanking good deal!!!
