I've been gone from SD for 12+ years but when I was there, the shop of choice was Lemon Grove Plating in National City. Their backlog was always a couple of months so you had to plan ahead. I also had some decent work done by North County Plating in Escondido.
I believe Lemon Grove plating is long gone. I've used Buena Park Chrome, 7425 Orangethorpe #G, Buena Park, CA 714 670-7803 and was very pleased with quality and price. A few items needed to be reworked but they took care of it, no hassles. Ask for Vic. There are some chrome pictures on my website: shiny bits
Well Ronzet, if you want Chrome Plating they are not in SD but here in LA.They are pricy, have a backlog at all times but you will not be disappointed. The Shop Is Christensens Plating. Phone # 585-8730---Fwiw--Keoke
Gentlemen, Thanks for the leads. I will check them out. I prefer using the original parts rather than 'new' replacement ones. The new ones from most suppliers don't seem to be of the quality nor the fit that the originals have... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif
Well yeah,However, Vern is about 50% less than Chritensen, and not quite as good but acceptable in most cases I would say. Plus he can provide faster service. Additionally, Vern does powder coating so you can kill two birds with one stone at his shop--Keoke
