I will be doing a 5-speed (Datsun) in my Bugeye, so I'm on the hunt. Let me know if any of you run across one that you don't need.

MightyMidget on the 5 speed conversion thread has one for sale.

Thanks for the heads up, pm sent in his direction.

I might have a line on one or two Datsun 5-speeds. No promises, but I should know something by Monday (assuming you don't find one before that).

I purchased a datsun 5-speed from someone on this forum ... anyone remember who that was?

Let me know, I'm definitely interested.

yes I have a good 5spd. with large econ engine complete in good condition, with flywheel new clutch pressure plate, also have the 390? rear end. basically complete drive train, except for propeller shaft. sorry but with my devices don't know when I have messages, I drive for greyhound so on and off board . email would be best if interested. just want what I paid for stuff.

I'll be in touch...

I struck out. The place that had two Datsun 210's already crushed one and the one remaining was an automatic. Sorry I can't help you Drew.

Thanks for looking anyways. I've got a good line on another one from another BCFer, looks like that will work out. Keep me in mind if you run across another one, though, I might still be interested.

Think the 63 series out of the earlier car's can be made to work and they are the stronger trans. Same one that Datsun put in the 280Z. Only reason they put it in the early high MPG car was that it was the only 5 speed they had at the time. I have one and another on the way. $100 delivered for engine and trans. I know......... but $100!!!!

Kurt.

The B210 will fit but is really, really tight! It also doesn't use the same adapter kits as the 210 so you have no support from vendors. Eric (Bug60) has one in his.

I stumbled upon an '80 210 today and got excited.....at least until I saw it was a 4-speed. Oh well. I'll PM you when I do find a good 5-speed.

I know it's unlikely but I found mine on KSL for $100. (heh!) I've seen a couple in non running cars lately, but they were automatics.
I looked at least twice a week for about two years and was astonished when one came up. Look for 510's too, I've seen several running cars that were mismarked- I don't think they have a 210 category.
Ill keep looking on my drives down to NM when I visit my mom- there are about a zillion cars stashed around the farms down that way, I just have to slow down a bit to look around.
My daughter and I plan to see you tomorrow night at Riffs!

Look forward to seeing you tomorrow, going to be a great show. Been busy getting ready, barely had time to do anything else. Once this show is past my schedule will free up and we need to meet up.
