Are you putting a 5spd behind that?
Also, is the FI staying on?

Very cool, I like so much!!!!!

Dave :hammer:

Yep - T5 will be behind it. Still considering whether to go with FI or 4-barrel. FI will be a wiring nightmare for me, but still pondering...

Actually, this will be either a core for a crate engine, or the basis for a rebuild. Still working that out as well...

It ain't gonna fit!! :jester:

Mickey, don't listen to the Doc, he's got cold feet in his old age.
the wiring isn't that bad as you can make it stand alone.
That will make Tony proud when the "B" is done.

Dave

This is truly gonna be a blast to build. I've done four restorations in the past, but never a conversion. This one will include A/C, which may mean pulling out the heater box, and "engineering" a replacement.

But the biggest thrill is going to be building up the V6 and fitting it.

Right up Tony's alley, methinks!

You coulda had a V8!

Coulda, but it wouldn't fit as well. Have to cut fender wells, etc.

And the V8's only .1 liter larger!

That's going in the BGT.

Keep it fuely. Have someone set up the computer and away you go. Never have to get your fingers greasy again

I hear ya. But being the masochist that I am, I like fiddlin' around with 'em. This dog may be too old to learn the tricks it will take to set it up. Too steeped in carburetors, I guess.

No tricks at all. Have someone else get it close by thought process. They send you a file. You dump it in the computer. You download the results and send it back and it starts all over again. Would probably take 3-4 downloads to get it right.
After that if you think you have a problem just shoot it to em . they double check and correct if necessary.

Also make it easy if you do engine mods.

Or, you calculate CFM needed and install the proper carb.

Done.

Hmmmm.....

Mickey , when was the last time you dropped on an off the shelf 4 barrel and it was properly jetted?

When I built the TR8. Remember the one I got from Woody? It was one of the batch that had problems with the plating flaking off, and it was replaced by Holley with one direct from the factory. Popped it on the manifold, and... well, ask Paul - he's enjoying it now!

Mickey;
I was at Bronte Creek car show near Toronto today. Got a picture of a 2.8 FI in an MGB.
If I can figure out how to get pictures up, I'll put it on.
I fact I'll put up all I took.
