Hi Doug,

No Pics! Whats the link or something?

Russ

Doug,

Waiting for the pictures here too.

Without looking at pics, the price seems decent with the Surrey. That usually adds a ballpark 2K to a car. If you meant "Pretty, rust free" then it sounds like a bargain!

Check the rockers underneath and the floors. Then check the frame, if IRS, check the trailing arms mounts and diff pins for cracks, frame outriggers and the rear frame section for signs of rot.

Sitting for 5 years might also mean full hydraulic overhaul, but might not as well. Do a compression test on all 4 cylinders. Should be around 150psi +-10% between cylinders.

Should be driveable for $7500, surrey or not.

My first thought is that you have too many projects as it is.

SWEET - that wasn't directed at me for a change!

I'll have my Wife download the camera
The paint's thin in a few places,windshield gasket's
shot, driver's seat's shot.Brakes will need to be com-
pletely gone through, tires are 20+ years old (TR6 rims).
Black plates.

Doug,

No pictures yet? I'm not really sure what TR4A's should be going for these days. I found this one in Pittsburgh that seems in the same range and condition without the Surrey top.

Craigslist TR4A

But then you have this one on eBay for a driver (note the SU carbs don't look like the right ones for a TR4A).

eBay TR4A

I think it has chrome dashpot covers installed over the SUs. Should be SU HS6 on a lter TR4A.

Peter,

I think you are right. I've heard of them but never seen them before.

Scott

That TR4A on craigslist looks pretty good. Anyone near Pittsburg care to take a look at it and report back?
