Not a huge fan of the idea of a monsTR but it looks like they did some decent work on it and at least it's not under a pile of junk next to a wall anymore.
 
The restorer in me is appalled. The 12-year old boy thinks it's the coolest thing ever!

While I may not necessarily like what the end result is, I can appreciate the quality of the work.
 
Anybody else have to hit the "mute" button while watching that? The "music" irked me more than the car. I'd like to see a little video action of the thing in mud.
 
Right on about the music! I Guess I'm to old for kind of stuff. I do agree with the quality of the work. The paint job is awesome.

Music? Is that what the soundtrack was? Seemed fitting, though.
 
I agree the music sucks but the paint and the imagination are great.
 
Just think the car would look like if they had put it back original. They put more time into it than restoring it. Not to mention the value the car would now be worth. To each there own.

Music was bad, but considering what it accompanied, it was appropriate.

Wish they had spent that much time, talent and money restoring it. It would be a $20.000+ car.

Randy, please have more respect for these 'younger' folks. After all, they will be tommorrow's leaders. Ha!
 
To each their own... Least they could have used a suspension set up that "works" instead of crappy leaves. Then again, I'll bet Cletus knows as much about off-roading as he does Triumphs. I hate slide shows on youtube, sorta pointless.
 
coolest thing on this thread is that kodanja got all his smileys to barf in unison. Somehow fitting that.
 
It took a real sense of humor to turn a TR3 into a monster truck...a most unlikely candidate. The chances of that TR being resurrected to it's former glory were, most likely, slim to none, as seeing how decrepit the body was sitting outside, the frame and running gear were probably in worse shape.

These cars aren't exactly rare, so if the body of one winds up as a whimsical project, I don't have a problem with that. It's not like the guy used a Ferrari SWB 250GT for the project. The workmanship is very good and well thought out. It was meant to be fun, and it brought a smile to my face. :smile:
