Sounds like I'm better off using the existing transmission (which seems OK).
I DO HAVE AN ISSUE TO POTENTIALLY SORT FIRST. The VIN plate is missing which was known at time of bid. So the VIN # is forth coming, and as a hedge I was planning on using the body number to cross-reference the VIN in case anything so messed up in the process.
Well come to find out - and I'm an idiot for not confirming this ahead of time - the body numbers appear not to be certified by the Heritage Trust.
No problem, I'll use the old Texas Plate as my back up. Well, Texas evidential will allow a VIN look-up but not a license plate look up.
