OK...this stuff isn't mine but it is in my garage.my friend/tenant Jon bought this Triumph Daytona 500 a few weeks ago..pretty neat project.

The Mustang belongs to one of my son's but he's lost interest in it and wants to sell it. So dear old Dad gets to fix it up so he can sell it...

Well let us know what you want for the Mustang, maybe we can help you move it quick

It's a pretty nice car for someone who wants and instant driver or an easy resto. A South Dakota car with virtually no rust out ever. My son bought it about 14 years ago and we went to SD to get it with my tow dolly. The guy who owned it lived 18 miles from the nearest paved road!

If only I lived a little closer!

For a fair price I woud park it in the garage until my daughter turns 16....

Love the bike. I been looking at those thinking I could find one for less than a Bonneville, but they still aren't cheap.

Put some American Racing Torque Thrust wheels on that Mustang. That ought to help it sell. What engine does it have in it?

In 1958 I rode a 54 Triumph 650 from NewPort RI to Long Beach Cala. Going south from Wisconsin I rode RT. 66 all the way to LA. What a long strange trip it was. Loved it. I fell in love with anything Triumph at that time.

Jon paid $1300.00 for the Daytona...with some carb work it will be a runner.

The Mustang has a 289. Kinda neat that you can decode the ID tags online and not have to spend $$$ for guys in the Mother Country to do it.

It was built in Metuchen, NJ...289/C4/3.25 Equa-lock axle... Silver frost poly (now Poppy red) with a std. black inteior...AM radio...power steering...built October 21, 1966.

Thats because it uses an actual VIN number. Triumph used a chassis number and lettering system until mid 1979 instead of a VIN. Different strokes and all that.

Of the three sidescreens I own with titles, two have the Mulliner # on the titles and one has the TS#...I guess each dealer decided which # to use for the original title...
