I have spent most of my time just LOKKING at this board, although I have posted a few times. But, now I have something to say:

My wife, four Sheltand Sheepdogs, a 1970 GT6+, a 1980 TR8 DHC, and a 1977 TR7 FHC project car are heading to suburban K.C., Mo. Once I get settled in, and restart my Snap-On Tools franchise I will be getting out amongst the LBCs and taking in some autocrosses with the TR8. I'll be looking for the local Triumph and LBC clubs as well. Anyone near the K.C. area can certainly help me with the local events. Drop me a line at snaponbob@cox.net before May 15, as my e-mail address will be changing.

Oh, anyone know how to get to VicBrit from Lee's Summit?

Lee's Summit is on the east side, as you know, and VB is on the West. I don't make it to the east side often, but basically you'll take either 435 or I-70 to I-35 and head south.
It's at roughly 1-35 and 107th, but getting there is a little tricky, you can pull of on 435 (or stay on it if you're coming on it) and get off on the first exit west of 35, which is Lackman Road, then loop around to get on the frontage road, then follow it down to VB. Or you can stay on 35 to 119th and backtrack. Pretty much 6 of one, half-dozen of the other.

Bob welcome to the area!! There is a Triumph club (KC Triumphs)that you no doubt will hook up with, they are a great bunch of people. They do a good job of keeping up with several other clubs events and activities of interest in the area. I am not sure if they have a website, but they wont be hard to find.
Our club(in Topeka) is more generic, welcoming all marques into one merry band of LBC nuts. Our website is pretty cool(topekabritishcarclub)
If you are in KC on april 24th there is a british car swap meet at Hurst's Imports 13208 e 40hwy (in Independance). Its always a good time and you would get into the KC scene very quickly!!

Hey Bob,
Nice to have another Triumpher in Kansas City. I live on the southwest corner of KC so we will be kinda far apart. I own a 73 TR6 and am part of the KC Triumph Club. You can email me at weezer39087@yahoo.com with your information and I can forward it to the right people or if you just want to get there email from me. When are you moving in the KC area? Well let me what you want to do. I've got all the club memebers emails and phone numbers if you would want that. Again welcome to KC and hopefully will get to meet you sometime soon after you move in.
Eric
