Look out Floridians

Woohoo!!! We actually have some sunshine breaking through!!! And the newshounds have been saying we should have a solid week of this rain!!!

If this sunshine keeps up after all this rain it's gonna be a full-blown sauna down here!!

Yeah, just had some nutter grindin' thru it in a Cessna go over, headed DIRECTLY for the landing strip tho.

Some of the folks around here absolutely amaze me. About 10 years ago we had two instructors dare each other to take off in the middle of a blinding rain storm. One did. The engine ingested so much water it quit at the departure end of the runway. Witnesses said they couldn't even see the thing it was raining so hard.

Stupid.

It's actually pretty nice here, very high thin clouds, light breeze, comfortable out. Gonna rain later I hear

I just walked outside of th' garage an' saw my shadow onna concrete! Had to run back inside! :smirk:

Look down and to your right... Big cell.

They're saying the measured sustained winds are up to 65mph? Weird. One of the local TV weather guys thinks it's going to pick up some gusto when it hits the Atlantic, then it's supposedly going to come back in just north of me.

Center is apparently now just on the N.W. edge of Lake O, we've had no rain here yet. Weird.

Not much wind or rain here. I'm on the edge of the storm here in Orlando. Faye did knock the top off my neighbor's mailbox tho.

Dark here for half th' day. I grilled up at 6PM, no rain all day. Really strange.

That thing is headed back out to sea, it'll come ashore further north and be a pip.

Spoke to my Mum this evening...N. Ft. Myers hardly got any rain!!!! She was real worried how we were faring with all the tornadoes and media hype!....WOTADAY (and therein lies a story!)!!!. We still aren't done with Fay! The effects will be around for a few days!! She has been defying convention and actually strengthening over land!! Look out Jack!! She may just double back and hit you too!!

This system is moving so slow that I am adding this at 3:30 am and it is still only up to Ft. Pierce! At this rate it will not be up by Scotts area until Wed. am some time!
