Randy, PM me if you want some drawings making into 2D cutter files, I'm unemployed for the next three months so have some spare time to do stuff like this. Currently working on a complete fastener details spreadsheet for the Longbridge cars while the bodywork is being dealt to...
Randy- it is a late 70s Triumph Stag which reminds me far too much of why Britain no longer has a car industry to speak of. A good concept that was under-engineered and carelessly thrown together by striking workers has given us a somewhat rare car today, particularly with its original engine still intact as many owners swapped them for the considerably more reliable Rover V8.
Jim- I'm trying out a collaborative/online idea through Google Docs. The spreadsheet function in GD is a somewhat clunky version of MSExcel and can be edited by anyone who has a login. That link is for a read-only version of the standard BMC fastener codes, I hope to add the BN4 listings so the codes are converted into meaningful fastener dimensions etc. I'd also like to include information on the bolt head markings which will take a bit of time to get updated. I'll post up when I have the BN4 stuff online.
Just to keep things vaguely related to the original topic, I found a scan I made ages ago of a Ford accessories brochure while cleaning up my backup HDD and it shows the "Longbridge" washer as an accessory. Can't say I've ever seen one on a Ford, they seem to use the square Lucas type vacuum pump washer on any I've seen.
andy - start a new question related to the fastener listing. I actually started to do that also in Excel, but never finished for the Longbridge. I have to try and locate the file. It was based upon a listing for the 100 that has been available and I was trying to match that listing, to take a short cut, to that of the 100-six.
I will send it to you when I find it
jim
I finished the bottle brackets ,thanks to Andy. I made 5 (that's what I had material on hand for). One is for me and two are for RichBerman. That leaves 2 left if anyone would like to purchase them. I need 80.00 shipped in the continental US. Overseas will be 75.00 plus actual shipping charges. If you want one please post your request here before PMing me so others will know if the two are already spoken for. If the two are gone and there is at least 5 more requests I may be persuaded into another run. Now the question for the group is how would you like the brackets finished? I do not have a local source for cad plating like it was originally, so for mine I just used some "chrome" paint which gives an appearance of cad plating. Currently the other 4 are still bare metal and could be left that way for the purchaser to finish as desired or I could shoot them with the same "chrome" paint. Let me know when you request the bracket. By the way I will accept paypal to make it easier.

Hi JIM
Process Require more words than time
Cap is printed on paper with my Canon Inkjet Printer
I have used Photoimpact 8 softw- that permit to reduce or increase the dimension of the image printed, exactly the cm or inc needed
similar sofws and printers can be used
diameter needed is 6 cm -I have used this photo https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/EPj_pwQgxbc-6mnjPni9rdMTjNZETYmyPJy0liipFm0?feat=directlink
after the print at 6 cm diam, folded the photo by the half line- now the photos are exactly opposed
then I have cut accurately by scissors the round scraped real photo- obtained two round pieces one with the needed new cap print
stitched it on a previous black painted cap- with usual clear BOSTIK -
then painted with spray transparent gloss paint
easy
I hope that this can help
otherwise I can reduce the photo at exactly 6 cm required --and send it to you as Jpeg or PDF file
Cheers
Andrea
I did some more research after making that pic and there are a couple of errors in it. It should read "A Trafalgar Product" and also I made some improvements to the motif which is the statue of Admiral Lord Nelson in Trafalgar Square. Below is the artwork I used to make a rubber stamp that wasn't entirely successful in putting the logo on my bottle lid. For some reason I started making the artwork in MSPaint so the edges are blocky which could be improved on. Converting to a vectorised imaged would be ideal but I don't know of a program to do that.
Hi Andy
Happy to find the AUTHOR of the photos- for me a very good design
I remember that I have discharged it from somewhere but don't remember where
Compliments for your work-
it work fine for me to obtain one good repro of the original- the Inkjet print appear to be with more definition, than the rubber stamp
my suggestion is tray out some experiment with my method
I never know if my work resist when water came in the bottle
paper aren't exactly the required material -probably I must print it on transparent support
or apply transparent paint also on retro to avoid water color effect
Cheers
Andrea
Heres an updated photo of Healey106's finished bracket ready to ship out in the morning. This is with the "chrome" paint and the rubber pads in place. Also a photo of it on my Rover bottle.
