This is an Austin Healey Club Annual event that brings out ALOT of British cars.
Annual Beach Run/Sunset Tour - Thursday, July 19
We will meet at 2 locations: near the Bellmore RR Station in the west and Oak Beach in the east.
We will assemble beginning at 6:30 on Lakeview Road, south of Sunrise Highway in Bellmore. Directions:
Follow Wantagh Parkway South to
Exit W6-W (Merrick Road westbound)
Right turn at stop sign
Pass 3 lights (2nd=flasher)
Continue on Merrick Road past Mill Pond Park
At 4th light make a right turn onto Bellmore Ave.
Continue straight at stop sign
Next right turn onto Lakeview Road
Continue on Lakeview 2/10 mile around
Curve to left - Congratulations! You found us!
At 6:50 or so, we will caravan onto Wantagh Pkwy South to Ocean Pkwy, out to Robert Moses State Park to watch the sun set with a stop at Oak Beach.
Those coming from the east can use Robert Moses Causeway to Ocean Pkwy and meet us at the Oak Beach parking lot at about 7:20 for photographs and conversation.
